A suspected phone thief was attacked and burned by youths in Kano’s Dorayi area following an alleged phone-snatching attempt, with police yet to comment.
A suspected phone thief was attacked and set ablaze by youths in Dorayi, Kano State, after he was accused of attempting to snatch a woman’s mobile phone. Eyewitnesses said the confrontation escalated rapidly, leaving the woman injured and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
A tricycle rider, Abba Tilda, said: “They poured petrol on the suspect and lit the match. He was still moving when the security agents took him.” The suspect was later taken into custody, while police were yet to issue an official statement as of filing time.
