The church, through its official representatives, stated that the commission’s investigation into the stewardship and governance of its UK charitable assets was fundamentally “flawed.”
The UK Charity Commission, which oversees non-profit organizations, had conducted a review raising specific concerns about compliance and administrative controls within MFM’s British structure. MFM International strongly maintained its innocence and categorically denied claims that restrictions had been placed on its funds.
