List: Presidency confirms 10 Federal hospitals are now offering dialysis at ₦12,000

The FG has cut kidney dialysis costs by 76% in federal hospitals, reducing fees to ₦12,000 to improve nationwide patient access.

The Federal Government has reduced the cost of kidney dialysis in federal hospitals nationwide from ₦50,000 to ₦12,000, following President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s approval of a 76 per cent subsidy. The move aims to ease the financial burden on kidney patients and improve access to life-saving treatment.

The announcement was made on Monday by the President’s Special Adviser on Policy Information, Daniel Bwala, who disclosed that the subsidy is already operational in federal medical centres and teaching hospitals across all six geopolitical zones. “These subsidies are now operational in federal medical centres and teaching hospitals in all geopolitical zones,” Bwala said. “More hospitals will be included before the year ends.”

Currently, the reduced dialysis fees are available at facilities including:

Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Ebute-Metta, Lagos

Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Jabi, Abuja

University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, Oyo State

Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Owerri, Imo State

University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH), Maiduguri, Borno State
