The National Councillors Forum of Nigeria has endorsed President Bola Tinubu for re-election in 2027, describing the restoration of Local Government autonomy as a “game changer” for grassroots development. Speaking in Abuja, the forum said the “Renewed Hope” agenda is delivering visible results in rural communities nationwide.
The forum, representing 8,809 councillors across all 774 LGAs, said councilors “see the direct impact of the President’s strategic reforms.” It praised gains in funding, accountability, agriculture, infrastructure, and security, urging nationwide mobilization to consolidate Tinubu’s reforms ahead of the next election.
