Leader of Greater Tomorrow Group and Chairman, 74th Adult Harvest Planning Committee of the National Headquarters of the Celestial Church of Christ,Makoko,Lagos, Brother Demola Bolaji, has charged Celestians to be committed to rebuilding the first Celestial church on Nigerian soil.
Bolaji made this appeal during the 74th adult harvest celebration of the church on Sunday. According to him, the founder of the church, the late Rev. SBJ Oshoffa, demanded a befitting edifice for the National Headquarters during an encounter with him.
He said: ” He took me to the back of the church and asked me if I liked what I saw. He demanded that N10,000 be paid by one million people to erect a new structure for Makoko. He called it something like ‘a one million-man march’.I’m making payment for 1,000 heads.”
Responding to his appeal, Prophetess Edith Oshoffa, Mama Olusola (the nonagenarian said to have died but raised through SBJ Oshoffa), among others made financial contributions. Most Superior Evangelist Samson Banjo, Patron of CCC National Headquarters and the only living Board of Trustees member since the days of the founder,however, expressed his desire to worship inside a new edifice when the next adult harvest is celebrated.
