The Lagos State Police Command has arrested Inspector Obi Modestus, seen in a viral video assaulting an Uber driver. The clip, shared on X by user @dammiedammie35, sparked outrage online. “This is someone’s father they’re beating like an animal,” the user wrote.
Police spokesperson CSP Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the arrest, stating Modestus will face disciplinary proceedings. “The Lagos State Police Command… will not condone any form of incivility to members of the public,” he said.
