At 67, his candidacy introduces significant cultural and political weight to the succession process, aligning with Ijebu customary law and Ogun State Chieftaincy Laws.
K1 emphasizes his royal lineage, tracing ancestry to the Oba Jadiara lineage of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House, and cites over five decades of promoting Yoruba and Nigerian culture through music. The Ijebu-Ode Local Government has requested nominations from the Fusengbuwa Ruling House to commence the selection process.
