Jake Paul hospitalised following loss to Anthony Joshua

Jake Paul was rushed to a hospital after sustaining a suspected fractured jaw during his six-round defeat to former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua in Miami.

Despite his determination, the 28-year-old YouTuber-turned-professional boxer struggled against Joshua’s superior size and punching power. Paul’s promoter, Nakisa Bidarian, confirmed medical evaluation was needed, with recovery expected to take four to six weeks.

Speaking after the fight, Paul remained optimistic, saying, “I feel good. It was fun, and I genuinely love this sport,” while sharing social media posts showing the toll of the contest. He expressed gratitude for the experience and highlighted his commitment to boxing despite the injury.

Looking ahead, Paul plans a brief recovery before returning to the ring, aiming for a cruiserweight world title. “We’ll heal the jaw, come back stronger and fight opponents in my weight class. Anthony Joshua is a great champion. I lost, but that’s part of boxing. I’ll return and keep pushing forward,” he said, noting fatigue had impacted his performance.
