Ghana has approved a passport for US YouTuber IShowSpeed following his Africa tour, citing his ties to the country and impact in promoting African culture globally.
US YouTube star IShowSpeed is set to receive a Ghanaian passport after his visit to the country during his live-streamed Africa tour. Ghana was the penultimate stop on the influencer’s 20-country trip, which ended on Tuesday and attracted global attention.
Ghana’s foreign minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa said the passport was approved after confirmation of the YouTuber’s ties to the country, describing him as a “worthy ambassador” and urging him to “keep making our great nation Ghana, and our beloved African continent proud.”
