Insecurity: Amotekun begins intensive patrol of boarding schools in Ondo

Amotekun Corps has launched enhanced surveillance and patrol of boarding schools and border towns in Ondo State in response to recent security concerns and kidnapping incidents.

The Ondo State Security Network Agency, Amotekun Corps, has commenced intensified patrol and surveillance of boarding schools across the state following rising concerns over security breaches and kidnappings.

Commander Adetunji Adeleye announced this while parading 16 suspects, noting that the corps had visited numerous schools—particularly those in border communities—and mounted full surveillance “in the wake of the recent outcry of security breaches and kidnappings.” He said the ongoing border operation, ‘Operation Le Won Jade’, which began on November 6, had helped repel miscreants, bandits, and kidnappers from forest areas.

Adeleye added that Amotekun’s 24-hour patrol within the metropolis continued to yield significant results, with 34 arrests recorded in the past week, reassuring residents that security agencies remained committed to protecting lives and property in Ondo State.
