U.S President Donald Trump humorously questioned his chances of making heaven while reflecting on his success in brokering peace between Israel and Hamas.
U.S. President Donald Trump has reflected on his legacy and afterlife, saying he is unsure if he will “make heaven” despite recent diplomatic successes in the Middle East. Trump has received global praise for his role in ending the two-year war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, which led to the release of hostages on both sides. While aboard Air Force One en route to Israel, he quipped, “I’m being a little cute, I don’t think there’s anything going to get me in heaven. I’m not sure I’m going to be able to make heaven, but I’ve made life a lot better for a lot of people.” Trump added that he could have prevented Russia’s invasion of Ukraine “had the election of 2020 not been rigged.” His recent meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska, the first since 2018, ended without an agreement but revived hopes for eventual peace talks.
