Tiwa Savage has clarified her earlier statement about being open to becoming a second wife, explaining it was made out of emotional exhaustion and not her true desire.
Nigerian singer and songwriter Tiwatope Omolara Savage, popularly known as Tiwa Savage, has clarified the viral comment in which she said she did not mind being a second wife.
According to a report from P.M. NEWS, the Afrobeats star made the clarification during a recent interview while reflecting on her previous marriage.
The “Somebody’s Son” crooner explained that her statement was born out of frustration rather than intent, stressing that she does not actually want to be a second wife. “I was a first wife, where did that get me? I got married as the only wife, but here we are. I’m tired of being heartbroken; maybe I’m getting it wrong,” she said.
Tiwa continued, “Maybe I should try being a second wife. It’s not my choice, though. I don’t want to. I wish I could tell my truth, but I will be dragged. I don’t want to be, I’m looking for love. Let’s just leave it at that.”
Her remarks have sparked renewed discussion among fans about marriage, love, and emotional vulnerability in the entertainment industry.
