Hegseth reposts video featuring pastors saying women shouldn’t vote…

The report included one pastor calling for the removal of women’s suffrage from the Constitution, another suggesting household voting, and a female congregant saying she submits to her husband.

U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has drawn attention after reposting a video featuring pastors advocating for the repeal of women’s right to vote.

The post, made Thursday night on X, shared a nearly seven-minute CNN report on Doug Wilson, cofounder of the Communion of Reformed Evangelical Churches (CREC). The report included one pastor calling for the removal of women’s suffrage from the Constitution, another suggesting household voting, and a female congregant saying she submits to her husband.

“All of Christ for All of Life,” Hegseth wrote alongside the video, which garnered over 12,000 likes and 2,000 shares. Reactions were split, with some supporting the message and others criticizing the promotion of Christian nationalist ideas.

Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell said Hegseth is “a proud member of a church” affiliated with CREC and values Wilson’s teachings. In May, Hegseth invited his pastor to lead prayer services inside the Pentagon. Wilson told CNN, “I’d like to see the nation be a Christian nation, and I’d like to see the world be a Christian world.”
