Witnesses said the guest, who was standing behind the President’s desk alongside administration officials and pharmaceutical executives, suddenly lost consciousness and was helped to the ground by nearby attendees.
The event continued after a brief pause as medical personnel attended to the guest. White House officials have not released further details about the individual’s condition.
