Retired General Christopher Musa officially assumed his role as Minister of Defence in Abuja on Friday. His appointment by President Bola Tinubu followed the resignation of Muhammed Badaru and received Senate confirmation.
The appointment is widely seen as a move to bolster defence operations, given Musa’s leadership as chief between 2023-2025. He held meetings with service chiefs upon his arrival at the ministry.
