Former Governor of Rivers State, Dr Peter Odili, has assured Governor Siminalayi Fubara of his unwavering support amid the state’s political crisis. Speaking at an event in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, Odili told the governor that the people of Rivers State are firmly behind him, urging him to remain steadfast.
Odili said, “Your people are with you, and they have asked me to tell you that you are the political leader of Rivers State. Rivers people said that wherever you go, we will go with you. Wherever you stand, we will stand with you. You are standing on firm ground. Stand there and hold on to God.” His remarks came following the renewed tension between Fubara and Minister Nyesom Wike.
