U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) says it has arrested a Nigerian national, Ibrahim Tunde Ijaoba, over his alleged involvement in armed robbery and drug trafficking in the United States. According to a statement issued on Monday, ICE said Mr Ijaoba, who is illegally residing in the country, “has a final removal order and awaits deportation in ICE custody.” The agency described him as a former member of the Bloods gang, a group it characterised as violent and notorious.
“Ibrahim Tunde Ijaoba is a criminal illegal alien from Nigeria and former member of the Bloods — a notoriously violent street gang,” ICE said. The agency added that Mr Ijaoba entered the U.S. illegally and accumulated multiple convictions, including aggravated assault on a police officer with a firearm, assault, armed robbery, obstruction, drug sales, and escaping police custody.
