Fabrizio Romano: Eberechi Eze keen on Tottenham move as talks continue

Tottenham Hotspur’s pursuit of Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze has gathered momentum, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that the England international is “keen” on a switch to N17.

Romano confirmed on Monday that Spurs’ interest in Eze is separate from their bid to sign Manchester City winger Savinho. The North London club, hit by Heung-min Son’s departure and James Maddison’s injury, are aiming to bring in both players before the transfer deadline.

Talks with Palace are ongoing, but a deal hinges on Tottenham meeting the Eagles’ valuation for the 27-year-old.

Until recently, Arsenal were considered favourites to sign Eze. However, TEAMtalk reports that the Gunners are hesitating over a big-money move for a number ten, leaving Spurs with a clear opportunity.

Club insider Paul O’Keefe has also confirmed that negotiations have progressed in recent days, with Tottenham now fully aware of Palace’s asking price.
