He stressed that “we don’t know whether the accusations are true” and none of the names include “current officeholders.”
Jeffrey Epstein’s former lawyer, Alan Dershowitz, has denied claims the disgraced financier kept a “client list,” while insisting there’s no evidence President Trump engaged in any “improper or even questionable” conduct.
In an op-ed for the Wall Street Journal, Dershowitz wrote: “Epstein never created a ‘client list.’ The FBI interviewed alleged victims who named several ‘clients.’ These names have been redacted.”
He stressed that “we don’t know whether the accusations are true” and none of the names include “current officeholders.”
Addressing rumors of incriminating bedroom videos, Dershowitz said: “There are videotapes, but they are of public areas of his Palm Beach, Fla., home,” adding the cameras were police-installed.
On Trump’s ties to Epstein, Dershowitz wrote: “I have seen nothing that would suggest anything improper or even questionable by Mr. Trump.”
He also dismissed theories Epstein was murdered, saying: “It was clear from the evidence that Epstein committed suicide,” though he noted possible “assistance by jail personnel.”
