The Nigeria Police Force Headquarters has issued a stern directive prohibiting officers from escorting Very Important Persons (VIPs) who are not officially recognized or do not have valid security details. This directive aims to curb the misuse of police escorts and ensure proper accountability.
In a bid to enforce this new policy, Force Headquarters has deployed special squads to airports across the country. These squads are tasked with monitoring and ensuring strict compliance with the directive, preventing any unauthorized escorts from operating.
