Socialite Cubana Chief Priest has claimed that Davido’s repeated Grammy losses are part of an attempt by Western music executives to pressure the singer into compromising his values.
Nigerian socialite Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has alleged that singer Davido’s losing streak at the Grammy Awards is a deliberate move to frustrate him and force him to bend to the will of some white music executives. According to Cubana Chief Priest, the alleged agenda is aimed at pushing the Afrobeats star into engaging in what he described as “demonic” activities.
DAILY POST reports that Davido lost the Best African Music Performance award to South African singer Tyla at the 2026 Grammy Awards ceremony held on Sunday. The loss marked another setback for the Nigerian superstar at the global music awards, sparking reactions across social media.
Reacting in an Instagram post, Cubana Chief Priest urged Davido to remain steadfast and not compromise his principles for success in the Western music industry. He also encouraged the singer to move past the disappointment and continue making music for his fans. “Oyibo dey do everything possible to break a strong man so he can do their demonic sh*t with them but he will never do ot. Heads up brother, open the bag and drop another hot one for us. E no dey finish, gbedu na water,” he wrote.
