Court warns EFCC Chairman over 27 seized houses

The Federal High Court in Abuja has issued a strong warning to the EFCC Chairman for failing to comply with an October 31 judgment. The court ordered the immediate release of 27 properties wrongly seized by the commission, with non-compliance risking contempt charges.

These properties, claimed by James Okwete and Adebukunola Oladapo, were initially under an interim forfeiture order. Justice Joyce Abdulmalik dismissed the EFCC’s final forfeiture bid, vacating the order and mandating their release.
