China has committed to accelerating zero-tariff measures across Africa, aiming to generate new trade opportunities for West Africa. Chinese Ambassador Yu Dunhai conveyed this pledge during a meeting with ECOWAS Commission President Dr. Omar Alieu Touray, also presenting a vehicle for official duties.
Ambassador Yu praised ECOWAS’s half-century efforts in regional integration, peace, and governance, calling the China-ECOWAS ties a model of South-South cooperation. President Touray expressed gratitude for China’s support and affirmed ECOWAS’s commitment to enhancing bilateral relations.
