China has pledged its support for Nigeria’s rail transit intelligence control system, aiming for mutual benefit and significant enhancements to Nigeria’s transportation infrastructure. Mr. Yin Yungong of CRSCI announced this commitment at an international seminar, emphasizing practical training and ongoing technical assistance for Nigeria’s railway transformation.
The partnership, formalized by an August 2025 agreement involving CRSCI, the Federal Ministry of Transportation, and FUT Daura, is expected to lead to a Joint Intelligent Control Research Centre. It will support projects like the Abuja-Kaduna Railway upgrade and empower Nigerian professionals with modern railway system competencies.
