CAF condemns misconduct during AFCON 2025 Final in Rabat

The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has condemned what it described as the unacceptable behaviour of some players and officials during the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 final between hosts Morocco and Senegal.

In a statement published on Monday, CAF said the incidents occurred during Sunday night’s final in Rabat and involved conduct deemed inappropriate in a match of such stature.

CAF stressed that it “strongly condemns any inappropriate behaviour which occurs during matches, especially those targeting the refereeing team or match organizers.”

The continental football body added that it is reviewing all available footage from the final and will refer the matter to the appropriate disciplinary bodies, with sanctions to be imposed on any individuals found guilty.
