Brazil’s President: Maduro capture is an unacceptable line crossed

🇧🇷🇻🇪 BRAZIL’S PRESIDENT: MADURO CAPTURE IS AN UNACCEPTABLE LINE CROSSED

Hours after U.S. forces captured Maduro on Venezuelan soil, Brazil’s President Lula da Silva issued a blistering condemnation of the operation.

Lula called the strikes a violation of international law and a dangerous precedent that threatens Latin American sovereignty.

His statement invoked the region’s history of U.S. interference, demanding the United Nations respond vigorously.

Brazil remains available to promote dialogue and cooperation, but Lula’s message to Washington was clear: this is raw aggression.

“The bombings on Venezuelan territory and the capture of its president cross an unacceptable line.

These acts represent a most serious affront to Venezuela’s sovereignty and yet another extremely dangerous precedent for the entire international community.

Attacking countries, in flagrant violation of international law, is the first step toward a world of violence, chaos, and instability.

The action recalls the worst moments of interference in the politics of Latin America and the Caribbean.”
