Bayern lead chase for Jackson, but Chelsea holding out

Chelsea are delaying Nicolas Jackson’s exit as they await clarity on Alexander Isak’s future while pursuing new signings and managing multiple player departures.

Chelsea are stalling on Nicolas Jackson’s potential departure as uncertainty over Alexander Isak’s future clouds the transfer market. Bayern Munich have emerged as frontrunners for Jackson, who is open to a move to Germany, but the London club want clarity on whether Newcastle United or Liverpool might launch a late bid for him if the Isak situation changes. “Newcastle have been adamant they will not be bullied into selling Isak,” after rejecting Liverpool’s £110m offer, yet the Merseyside club remain interested.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are closing in on a permanent £30m sale of Christopher Nkunku to AC Milan, which could ease the financial pressure to offload Jackson quickly. Aston Villa have also expressed interest in the striker. The Blues are simultaneously negotiating for Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho and monitoring RB Leipzig’s Xavi Simons and Barcelona’s Fermin Lopez. With further exits expected, including Axel Disasi and Raheem Sterling, Chelsea face a frantic finish to the transfer window.
