An 85-year-old Bayelsa woman, Madam Afuwari Ego, was buried in a Coca-Cola bottle-shaped casket as a symbolic tribute to her lifelong love for the drink, drawing widespread attention at her funeral.
Madam Afuwari Ego, widely known as Ego Na Money, was buried in a Coca-Cola bottle-shaped casket during her funeral in Emeyal 1 community, Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, on November 22, 2025.

The unusual coffin, photographed by Ogbara Walson Henry, attracted significant attention from mourners and residents, who described it as a creative and memorable homage. According to family members, the unique design was inspired by the late woman’s deep fondness for Coca-Cola, making her final send-off both personal and symbolic.
