Four more people have been arrested in connection with last week’s jailbreak at the New Orleans Jail, bringing the total number of alleged accomplices to 11, according to police.
The suspects include Patricia Vanburen, 18; Tyshanea “Minnie” Randolph, 27; Lenton Vanburen Sr., 47; and Angel McKey, 40. A source told Fox News that Vanburen Sr. is the father of escapee Lenton Vanburen Jr. Authorities searched a residence in New Orleans’ 7th District for Vanburen Jr., but he was not found.
The four are accused of aiding Vanburen Jr. after the escape.
Emmitt Weber, 28, was also arrested Friday for assisting two inmates. Corey Boyd was captured Tuesday.
Five inmates remain at large, including Vanburen Jr., Jermaine Donald, Antoine Massey, Derrick Groves, and Leo O. Tate Sr.
Connie Weeden, 59, was charged with accessory after allegedly sending money to Donald via a cellphone app.
Police warn the fugitives are armed and dangerous.
