Abba Atiku, son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa on Monday. After receiving his membership card in Yola North, he cited President Bola Tinubu’s “merit-based” reforms as his primary motivation. He emphasized that the administration’s focus on infrastructure and human capital development warrants a second term.
“I want to make it very clear that nobody or any political party can stop President Bola Tinubu from returning to Aso Rock come 2027,” Abba stated. He dismissed claims of sectionalism, adding, “Nigerians have seen his good work; he is not a tribalist.” His move creates a family political divide, as his brother Adamu remains in the PDP.
