Abayomi Arabambi, a Labour Party spokesperson, has opposed President Bola Tinubu’s nomination of Reno Omokri as an ambassador. Arabambi cited Omokri’s past criticisms of the president as the primary reason for his objection.
While acknowledging the president’s right to nominate candidates, Arabambi noted that all ambassadorial appointments require Senate confirmation. He expressed trust that the Senate would properly vet all nominees before granting approval.
