The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has arraigned five suspects in court for a false report regarding the abduction of Oron Secondary School students. Commissioner of Police CP Baba Mohammed Azare announced this at a strategic security meeting in Ikot Akpanabia, addressing youth leaders.
CP Azare stressed that such misinformation creates panic, undermining public confidence. He warned against jungle justice and outlined the new restrictions on masquerade activities, emphasizing the police’s commitment to maintaining peace and order in Akwa Ibom.
