After renewing Saudi Pro League deal, Ronaldo urges Al-Nassr to go after Rodrygo instead of Martinelli

Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly urged Al-Nassr to target Real Madrid’s Rodrygo instead of pursuing Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli in the ongoing transfer window.

Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly urged Al-Nassr to target Real Madrid’s Rodrygo instead of pursuing Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli in the ongoing transfer window. According to Sky Sports, Ronaldo believes Rodrygo is a superior option and could help Al-Nassr secure major trophies. The Portuguese star recently signed a record-breaking two-year extension with the Saudi club and wants new manager Jorge Jesus to bolster the squad with top talent.

Al-Nassr are said to have submitted a €85 million (£73m/$100m) bid for Martinelli, but Arsenal may be open to selling in order to fund a formal offer for Rodrygo, whom Real Madrid reportedly value at £70 million ($96m).

Rodrygo’s future at Madrid appears uncertain after limited playing time under Xabi Alonso at the FIFA Club World Cup. However, questions remain about whether the 24-year-old, like Martinelli, would consider a move away from Europe to the Saudi Pro League at this point in his career.
