The African Development Bank (AfDB) has approved a $1.78 billion strategy for Namibia, spanning 2025 to 2030. This funding aims for economic transformation and inclusive growth, directly addressing high youth unemployment and declining per capita income by focusing on job creation and economic diversification.
The strategy prioritizes upgrading infrastructure for logistics and trade, alongside human capital development through technical training and initiatives for women. Planned improvements include expanding electricity access, enhancing trade connectivity, and advancing Namibia’s climate and renewable energy goals.
