At the opening of African Democratic Congress offices across Edo Central, former Edo Governor Oserheimen Osunbor and party chieftain Kenneth Imasuagbon sharply criticised worsening insecurity, hunger, and poverty in Nigeria, accusing the APC-led government of neglecting its constitutional duty to safeguard citizens.
Osunbor warned that “in Ekpoma here, people are afraid to go to their farms; insecurity has taken over,” insisting Boko Haram is “succeeding in parts of Nigeria.” Imasuagbon described the hardship as worse than “even during the military era,” adding that poverty has become “the middle name of many Nigerians.”
Both leaders urged Nigerians to “rise to defend our fatherland” and vowed that the ADC would present a united challenge to the ruling party in 2027, as members reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the party.
