The Adamawa State government has empowered 63 graduates, predominantly women and youths, through a four-day training program in cosmetology and home technology. State Commissioner Hamman Gatugel stated the initiative aims to foster creativity, resilience, and economic self-reliance by equipping participants with market-driven skills for wealth creation and sustainable livelihoods.
Officials urged beneficiaries to apply their newfound skills professionally, emphasizing customer value, consistency, and resource investment to become future employers. Governor Ahmadu Fintiri was lauded by Hamman Gatugel, Michael Zira, and Mustapha Gana for his support of empowerment programs, with SMEDAN pledging ongoing technical assistance to small-scale businesses.
