The family of Nigerian music star Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has petitioned the Inspector-General of Police over alleged assault and financial misappropriation by his wife, Natasha Osawuru.
In a letter dated November 12, the family urged an investigation, citing physical assaults in the UK and Abuja, unauthorized transfers from 2Baba’s accounts, and the withholding of personal documents. “These actions have exposed him to financial setbacks and public embarrassment,” the petition stated.
The controversy gained public attention during a live stream hosted by Daddy Freeze, where 2Baba’s former managers accused Natasha of attempting to control his finances and career. 2Baba joined the session, demanding privacy, before a heated off-camera argument ended the broadcast.
Meanwhile, the Edo State House of Assembly has summoned Natasha to its ethics and privileges committee over her recent viral conduct, intensifying scrutiny of the singer’s personal affairs.
