Addressing critics of his administration and the federal government, Okpebholo stated that the people of Edo would demonstrate their gratitude to the President through their ballots. He emphasized that his confidence stems from a grassroots-oriented political strategy rather than reliance on electoral violence. “The various projects across the state are the things that will speak for Tinubu and he will win here. Bet me, if he doesn’t win, I will resign as governor,” Okpebholo stated. He further noted: “There’s no election here for him. I’m a politician, who under-studied Chief Aneni.
