A hardworking 19-year-old scavenging for tiling equipment has been granted N8 million and a lifelong scholarship after his story of resilience touched the hearts of Nigerians online.

Nineteen-year-old Samuel Adeniyi has received over N8 million in donations and a full university scholarship after a viral video showed him selling plastic waste to buy tiling tools. The intervention extended to Samuel’s mother, who received N1 million and extensive groceries to restart her business. Overwhelmed by the N8 million total and education grant, the family celebrated their transformation from poverty. Bayuztv confirmed the boy’s future is secured “from secondary school to university level,” marking a life-changing shift for the hardworking teenager.
