Obinabo said the boy claimed he only tells the girls he loves them and plans to marry them once he’s wealthy.
An 18-year-old boy in Anambra State has allegedly impregnated 10 girls in five months, including his master’s daughter and a salesgirl, according to the state Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Ify Obinabo.
Speaking during a live video on Wednesday, Obinabo said, “This boy was sent to learn a trade at the age of 18, and three months into the apprenticeship, he impregnated his master’s daughter and his salesgirl. He was sent packing.”
She said the situation worsened after the boy returned to his village, where he impregnated eight more girls.
“This matter is beyond me, the reason I want the public to help me come up with a solution. Is it spiritual?” Obinabo asked.
The boy’s mother, she added, said, “Anytime I see a girl coming towards our house nowadays, my heart would jump.”
